Atticus

"Miss Jean Louise? Stand up! Your father's passing."

Has there ever been a finer moment in American films than this scene from "To Kill a Mockingbird"?

A fine moment yes, but what about this:

"Nobody puts Baby in a corner."

My favorite line in To Kill a Mockingbird is said by Scout to Boo while they are standing over Jem in bed who is injured and asleep. "You can pet 'im if you want to."

I like it when when Scout and Jem are talking about Jem going back to get his pants from Boo Radley's fence. Scout can be seen mouthing Jem's lines.

But really, the film is great, but the book is soooooo much better. Do yourself a favor and read it...or read it again if you had to when you were 12.
